The Causes of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
67
A number of researchers have been conducting different studies in order to detect the real causes of generalized anxiety disorder but until now, it’s still unidentified. However, there are some factors that have been recognized and they are:
- · Genetics
- · Environmental Factors
- · Brain Chemistry
If you suffer for GAD I highly recommend The
Linden Method, which has worked wondeers for many patients.
Three factors that can highly contribute to the development of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
1. How genetics contribute to the development of GAD then?
A number of researchers from different countries explained and suggested that the family history plays a big part in developing the probability that an individual might have GAD and if not treated will even develop. It could be hereditary which means that the inclination of developing GAD may be passed on in families, and even to its future generations.
2. Environmental Factors, how can it contribute to the development of GAD?
Studies revealed that some environmental factors can highly influence to the advancement of GAD and such factors include:
- · Stressful activities like going through divorce
- · Trauma due to abuse or death of loved ones
- · Another stressful events like changing schools and jobs
Those factors mentioned might probably lead to GAD. During stressful period GAD can even get worse, and it is important that the sufferers have the support they needed.
Some other factors are the making use of and withdrawal from addictive substances like:
- · Alcohol
- · Caffeine
- · Nicotine
Another truth is these substances can even worsen the person’s anxiety.
3. How could brain chemistry affect the development of GAD?
It is known that GAD has been correlated with abnormalities with the level of certain neurotransmitters in the human brain. The special chemical messengers that supervise the movement of information from one nerve cell to another are what we call the Neurotransmitters. It is a fact that messages couldn’t properly get through to the brain once the neurotransmitters are imbalanced or not having the capability to maintain its normal condition. When it happens, the brain reactions will be changed and that can probably lead to anxiety.

Informative read! Anxiety is so common. If everyone could educate themselves about the "factors" to better their quality of life..what a change it would be with all aspects of living. Unforunately people tend to turn to drugs and alcohol instead...good read!
